Lewis and Clark: Expanding and Preserving the Union (Building Fluency Through Reader's Theater)

Act out the story of two captains, Lewis and Clark, on a mission to find a water route to the Pacific Ocean! A Shoshone Indian woman named Sacagawea helps them along their journey over the Rocky Mountains. The roles in this adventurous script are written at different reading levels. This feature allows teachers to easily implement differentiation and English language learner strategies and assign specific roles to students in a way that accommodates individual reading skills. By differentiating for all students, whether they are struggling or proficient readers, teachers can get everyone involved and engaged in the same activity.
